Biloxi woman turns 104

WIGGINS, MS (WLOX) - When she was born a 104 years ago, Theodore Roosevelt was our nation's 26th president, movies were silent and the princess gown was the fashion attire for most women.

Biloxi native Dora Creel celebrated her 104th birthday Tuesday. Azalea Gardens, the Wiggins nursing facility she's been a resident at for the past seven years, threw a birthday party for Creel. She has one son, two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandkids.

Ms. Dora believes the secret to her longevity is her love of Reese's peanut butter cups and good old fashion hard work. She worked in shrimp and soda factories most of her life and mastered the art of cast-net making.
