Trial delayed for pill mill defendants

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The four people accused last May of running an illegal prescription ring in Biloxi won't go to trial on February 2. Instead, Dr. Thomas Trieu, Dr. Victoria Van, office manager Richard Trieu and pharmacist Nick Tran must wait until July 6 for their case to be heard.

According to court administrators, federal judge Louis Guirola delayed the trial because Dr. Trieu recently hired new attorneys to assist with his case.

Federal agents arrested the defendants on May 21, 2008. They're accused of illegally dispensing large amounts of prescription narcotics through a doctor's office and pharmacy on Division Street in Biloxi.
