Marijuana plants seized from home

Investigators have seized 90 full-grown Marijuana plants from a home in Vancleave.

Narcotics Agents from the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County and investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division discovered the plants after a search warrant was issued for 11405 Jim Ramsey Road.

Investigators have removed all of the plants and dismantled the room as required by state law.

The owners of the home, 32-year-old Jeremy Todd Smith and 32-year-old Michell Ann Mascaro had built the concealed room inside their doublewide mobile home.

Both Smith and Mascaro were each charged with one count of Clutivation of a schedule one controlled substance.

If convicted they could face fines of up to $1 million and 30 years in prison.
