Laurent sentenced to probation

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Hancock County man charged with the murder of his wife was back in court Monday on an unrelated charge. 31 year old Leo Lauren was given five years probation and ordered to complete an inmate discipline program. The sentence comes after he pleaded guilty to stealing money from his employer, the CVS pharmacy in Pearl River County.

Laurent has yet to stand trial on a charge of killing his wife in August of 2007. Her body was found partially buried in a Hancock County field.
