Several people rounded up in Biloxi undercover bust

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - It's the end of a six month undercover drug sting in Biloxi. Biloxi's Special Crimes Unit has spent the past three weeks quietly rounding up suspected drug dealers from across the city. 13 people police describe as street and mid level drug dealers are charge with selling various narcotics, including meth, oxycontin, and xanax, with the majority being charged with selling crack cocaine.

All are felony drug charges. Like other drug stings, undercover officers bought drugs from suspects on numerous occasions. But this time, instead of having a massive round up on one day, police have been making the arrests quietly. Captain John Miller with the Biloxi Police Department told WLOX News, that's because on roundup days, word gets out to suspects making it harder to make the arrests. Miller says police have warrants for eleven other suspected drug dealers.
