The man who is designing the museum is noted architect Frank Gehry. He's came to the Coast last fall to study the property, and to see how his museum can fit within the oak trees. Time Magazine just did an article on Gehry and the buildings he's designed.
He's known for his outlandish building shapes. According to the June 26, 2000 Time article, the new Guggenheim museum is an example of his unique style.
Ohr museum board members say when Gehry begins work on their project, he won't build an antebellum home next to Tullis Manor. But he will create a complex with three different buildings. They'll all fit within the shade trees that cover the Biloxi property.
