LUMBERTON, MS (AP) - Four teenagers have been arrested on first-degree felony arson charges in a fire-bombing at Lumberton High School.
Deputies received a call at 1:56 a.m. Friday from a witness who reported flames coming from the school. Police said Molotov cocktails in Gatorade bottles were tossed through the window of the school office.
Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel said the heat of the fire melted computers and typewriters in the office, and the field house was a complete loss, burning to the ground.
Classes, however, were not affected Friday. And there were no injuries in the fire.
