Rodi Named To Committee

A Mississippi bishop has been appointed to the United States Catholic Bishop Conference's restructured Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Abuse. The Most Reverend Thomas J. Rodi is bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi, and will represent provinces in Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The U-S-C-B-C is composed of committees that deal with the pastoral concerns of the bishops and the Catholic Church. The conference also has a number of ad hoc committees that study and report on specific questions or carry out particular tasks.

The bishops' Ad Hoc Committee on Sexual Abuse helps develop projects and resources to assist bishops in dealing with the problem of child sexual abuse by Catholic clergy.
