Family & Friends Desperately Search For Missing Long Beach Woman

Shannon Honaker is posting about 100-flyers around businesses in Long Beach, Gulfport and Harrison County. She hopes someone will recognize the picture and help police find her missing friend Tyler Necaise.

Shannon Honaker said "I am worried because I'm having a hard time believing she just walked away from her home. For one thing, she has serious health problems and she wouldn't walk away from her home".

Necaise' relatives also say it's very odd that she would vanish without a trace. Her aunt, Diann Young, said "It isn't like her to go off without letting me know. She had never done it, and I'm just afraid something happened to her. I feel like something bad's gone wrong, but I just pray to God it isn't".

Tyler Necaise was last seen at her home on Park Row Avenue in Long Beach. Her roommate told police she last talked to Necaise around 4:30 p.m. on August 9th. Police say there are some suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Detective Don Bass said "A lot of medications were taken, but now some of her medications were due to be refilled and through our investigation, we learned it hadn't. She has a checking and savings account, and no activity has been detected on those accounts".

Police, family and friends are all holding out hope that Necaise, described as outgoing and friendly, will turn up soon.

Diann Young said "I hope we find her all right, that somebody will call the police department or WLOX to let us know she's all right". Shannon Honaker said "We need everyone's help in finding her".

Police say right now, there are no indications of any foul play and they are still treating this as a missing person case. Tyler Ann Necaise is described as 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighs about 186-pounds. She has bleach-blond shoulder-length hair. If you have any information about this case, please call Long Beach police at 863-7292.
