Former Jailer Is Jailed

A Harrison County man faces charges stemming from the alleged sexual assault of minors. Sheriff George Payne says 30-year-old Johnny Joseph Gill of Gulfport is charged with unlawful touching for lustful purposes, sexual battery and unnatural intercourse.

Payne says the alleged victims are four girls under the age of 11. Gill's bond is set at 300-thousand dollars. He's being held at the Harrison County Jail.

If convicted of all charges, Gill faces a maximum penalty of 115 years in prison.
