It is encouraging to see all the interest people have this year in the Presidential campaign. In addition we have a close Senate race in our state between two qualified candidates. Everywhere we go it seems people are talking about the candidates.
Whether you are for Barack Obama and Joseph Biden or John McCain and Sarah Palin, one thing is for sure you probably have an opinion and this is a historic election. But if you want to actually have a say in the outcome, you need to be registered to vote.
The deadline for registering is October 4th which is less than two weeks away. So if you haven't registered, head to your circuit clerks office at your county courthouse to register. It only takes a few minutes and all you'll need is an ID with your home address.
If you want a say in who will run our country for the next four years then you have to be registered to vote. I plan to vote and hope you do to. Join me at the polls on November 4th.
That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to email@example.com, or post your comments below.
