Pascagoula Woman Charged With Murder

A Pascagoula woman is facing a murder charge after a shooting on Sunday.

55 year old Francis Rhodes was arrested Sunday after police found 46 year old Robert Torrey of Pascagoula shot at the Travel Motor Inn on Highway 90.

Investigators say Rhodes shot Torrey once in the head. He died a short time later at Singing River Hospital.

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus said Torrey died from massive blood loss caused from the single gunshot wound.

Police say the two knew each other, but aren't revealing a motive behind the shooting.
