Family Successfully Rescued In Jordan River Shores

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reports that a rescue mission in Hancock County was successful.

Around 7:24am, officials received a call from a family in Jordan River Shores saying their home was taking on water and they needed help getting out. Emergency officials were able to reach all three people and get them to safety with no injures.

MEMA is estimating the storm surge in Hancock County at around 12 feet. That's as of 9am Monday morning. They tell WLOX News that no homes are businesses are being threatened at this time, but water has covered the temporary beach road in Bay St. Louis.
