Three Doors Down Member Cleared Of Assault Charge

Three Doors Down bass player Todd Harrell has been found innocent of assault charges in Jackson County Justice Court.

The misdemeanor simple assault charge was filed against Harrell by his acquaintance, Terry Alexander, who claimed the musician broke his tooth and cut his lip in May.

Alexander had claimed Harrell became angry when he saw that Alexander was recording their conversation. Harrell denied hitting Alexander.

Jennifer Fields, Harrell's fiancee, said she was afraid of Alexander and told Harrell to call the police after he left.

Three Doors Down, composed of four musicians from Escatawpa and one from Kiln, hit the top of pop music's charts with the hit "Kryptonite'' in 1999.
