Teen Charged In Bank Robbery

Pike County sheriff's investigators have charged a 14-year-old boy with the armed robbery in the July 10th holdup of First Bank of Summit.

District Attorney Danny Smith said Aaron Joshua Powell of McComb, was being held Wednesday in the county jail without bond. Smith said Powell will be charged as an adult.

Authorities say a lone gunman entered the bank and took an undetermined amount of money. He stashed it in a white pillowcase and left on foot, according to lawmen.

Smith says an investigation continues and other arrests are possible.
