Sea Wolves Released 2002-2003 ECHL Season

The Mississippi Sea Wolves officially hit the ice October 12 at Baton Rouge.  The following night the Sea Wolves return home to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum opening a 36 game home slate with the Jackson Bandits serving as the opposition. 

The Sea Wolves home games breaks down this way, two Tuesday games, two Thursday night games, ten Friday games, ten on Saturday, and twelve games on Sunday.

BRASS UPDATE:  The East Coast Hockey League announced on Thursday that the Board of Governors approved a request for voluntary suspension from the New Orleans Brass for the 2002-2003 season.

Brass ownership and management will continue in their efforts to put a team on the ice for the upcoming season.  In the event those efforts are successful, Brass officials have indicated that it may request reinstatement by the ECHL Board of Governors.

New Orleans players have become free agents effective immediately.  That's according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Player's Association.
