The New Orleans Saints were counting on veteran cornerback Dale Carter to provide leadership in the secondary this season.
However, according to CBS.Sportsline.com Carter will be suspended by the NFL tomorrow for failing a league-administered drug test. Carter tested positive for Alcohol, after drinking three beers a couple of days after signing his Saints contract.
Carter missed the entire 2000 season after a DUI arrest, testing positive for marijuana and missed three drug test.
For reinstatement last year Carter agreed to abstain from alcohol as part of his agreement with NFL Management Council. Any positive test would result in his suspension.
Carter reportedly had a drug alcohol level of .06. Louisiana's legal limit is .10.
