Gulfport Police: BBQ Stand Owner Was Also Selling Drugs

GULFPORT (WLOX) -- The top selling item at a Gulfport BBQ joint may not have even been on the menu. According to Gulfport Police, some folks at John's Fish House and Barbecue Stand were also selling drugs.

Gulfport police searched the restaurant on Old Pass Road, and arrested five men after they found illegal drugs both inside and outside the restaurant.

Among those arrested was the owner, 47-year-old Charles Lloyd Harris of Gulfport. He was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Four other Gulfport residents were also arrested. Andrew Odom, Nicklas Hinton, Decolby Gay and Edward Kelly were all charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. All are being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
