Shedheads Move West Into Lyman

LYMAN (WLOX) -- Great barbecue and blues music is now a little easier to find in South Mississippi. Wednesday, The Shed Barbecue and Blues Joint opened in the Lyman community in Harrison County.

It's the first franchise of the popular Jackson County eatery, which features Memphis style barbecue and live entertainment.

Co-owner Clay Easterling believes The Shed is a can't miss concept for this growing part of the South Mississippi.

"We have a lot of folks in this area, and I think we can draw from Wiggins, Poplarville, and even Hancock County. We're going to have entertainment and the same good food. That's why we're in this business and that's why we franchised from Brad, because his food is so good and they do such a good job with their products," Easterling said.

The restaurant is located on Highway 53, one mile west of Highway 49. They're open weekdays from 11am to 9pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 10pm.
