Man Crashes Stolen Van Through Fence At Keesler

A Biloxi man faces multiple charges after fleeing from police and then ramming a stolen vehicle through a fence and onto Keesler Air Force Base.

Biloxi police say Grover Earl Hamilton, 25, was trying to elude officers when he drove through the section of fence near Vandenberg Drive around 11:30 a.m. They say he ran away, but officers captured him a couple blocks away on Vine Street.

Hamilton is charged with grand theft auto and several other charges.

Base personnel spent the afternoon taking down what was left of the old fence and putting up a new one.

We live in a wonderful time. We have the capability of instant communication with almost anyone at any time; all in the palm of our hands. We can stay connected to everyone all the time which is great - most of the time. There are times when we need to put aside our smart phones and do our jobs.
