GULFPORT (WLOX) -- Keon Lamont Mullins, 34, turned himself in to Gulfport police Friday morning. Authorities had been searching for Mullins in connection with the murder of James Edward Knight.

Knight was spotted early Monday morning lying in the middle of Washington Avenue near the airport. He had multiple gunshot wounds, and later died at the hospital. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said the fatal wound was a gunshot to the chest.

On Thursday, Calvin May, 34, was charged with capital murder in the case. He's being held at the Harrison County jail on a $2 million bond. Both Mullins and May are Gulfport residents.
