McComb Marine Killed In Iraq

McCOMB (WLOX) -- A Mississippi Marine from McComb has been killed in Iraq.

The family of Lance Corporal Casey Casonova has confirmed that she died Friday, when the transport vehicle she was in was hit by a roadside bomb. Casonova joined the Marines two years ago and worked in radio communications.

The Defense Department has offered few details about the attack other than it happened in the Anbar province, and three other Marines also died in that blast.

Corporal Casanova was 22. She will be laid to rest next weekend in McComb.
