Section Of Beach Closed In Biloxi

Polluted water forced the state to close a section of Biloxi's shoreline on Wednesday.

The area between Travia Avenue and Iberville Drive is temporarily off limits. Warning signs were posted on the beach alerting people that potentially dangerous bacteria was in the water.

This marks the fifth time in 14 months that the state had to close this section of the beach. Biloxi leaders said sewer tests will be done to figure out how the water is being polluted.
