Judge Found Not Guilty In Embezzlement Case

Harrison County Chancery Judge Wes Teel has been found innocent of four felony and nine misdemeanor counts of embezzlement.

A Harrison County jury acquitted Teel Thursday.

An indictment alleged Teel received about $3,700 worth of goods and services for his office and was reimbursed by the state, but failed to pay vendors that included Office Depot and Advanced Business Systems.

The trial began Monday in Gulfport.
