WIGGINS (WLOX) -- Despite a late start due to the rain, the crowds came out Saturday for the 11th Annual Pine Hill Festival in Wiggins.
The festival had more than 100 arts and crafts, food and information vendors. It also featured live demonstrations and entertainment, a classic car show and the always popular Soap Box Derby Competition.
Event organizers say extra attractions added over the years have made the festival a great way to show off all they have to offer. For instance, this year they added a Stone County Idol competition to show off some of the area's musical talent.
"Post-Hurricane Katrina, we are still working to rebuild and recover. And this is just a day for people to come down and enjoy Wiggins, which is our county seat, meet the people of Stone County and enjoy our hospitality," Charlotte Kesler said.
