PASS CHRISTIAN (WLOX) -- They don't call it million dollar barbecue for nothing. That's about how much money has been raised in the past two decades at Barbecue Under the Oaks in Pass Christian.
This year nearly 30 ribmeister teams showed off their skills for the 20th annual event. Host Peggy Sprayberry says the event has grown every year as they've added participants, guests, entertainment, and attractions for the kids.
"It's really getting to where we wanted it to be 20 years ago and we expect to do it about 25 more years. We love doing it. We eat, sleep, live and breath the barbecue, It's great. We love it," Sprayberry said.
