Public Hearing Set For Gulfport Library Debate

GULFPORT (WLOX) -- Groups working to save Gulfport's Downtown Library will get to speak out at a public hearing.

Last week, two former Gulfport mayors joined the crusade to save the historic structure from the demolition that has already been scheduled.

A citizens group has also held several protests trying to convince leaders to repair the building and put the library on the second floor - out of the way of future storms.

If you would like to give your input, the hearing will be held at Gulfport City Hall on Thursday April 3rd from 4 to 5 pm.
