Hearing Delayed For Woman Charged In Road Rage Case

An initial court hearing has been delayed for the 20-year-old woman charged with manslaughter in an accident that killed her daughter.

Vanessa Coursey's hearing was postponed because of medical reasons, but she did ask for an attorney. Coursey is in the Harrison County Jail on a $45,000 bond.

The highway patrol says road rage caused Coursey to ram into another car on May 15th on Highway 49. Her two children were thrown from the car. Cynthia Coursey, 3, died a few days later. The driver of the other car was also injured.

Along with manslaughter, Coursey is also charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Her new court date is Wednesday afternoon.
