In the past two weeks, seven people have died in accidents on south Mississippi roads. Seven lives lost, and seven families left suffering great pain. And more than likely, some of these accidents were preventable.
Since Katrina, we all seem to be driving more aggressively. Just ask any patrol officer, going 80 on the interstate is the new norm, running red lights is all too common. And every time this happens, the chances of a serious or even deadly accident increases.
We urge you to slow down, and take your time. Getting to your destination a few minutes earlier isn't worth the risk. Be patient and kind with other drivers.
Follow these simple rules on the road and the life you save may be your own.
