We now know the identity of the man killed in a crash in Biloxi. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says John Templin of Biloxi was killed after his S.U.V. ran head-on into a truck.
Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Pass and Stennis Road around 8:30 last night. Hargrove says Templin died of multiple blunt force trauma. The 42-year-old was an active duty military personnel.
The two people in the truck were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no word yet on their conditions.
Hargrove says he has not received any calls indicating the other two people have died since the crash.
Biloxi police say it appears the vehicles hit each other head-on after entering a turning lane at the same time. Police are still investigating the case.
One man is dead and two others seriuosly injured, after two vehicles had a head on collision on Pass Road in Biloxi on Saturday night.
Around 8:15, emergency personnel responded to the crash on Pass Road between Stennis and McArthur Road.
A truck and an S.U.V. ran into each other as both were trying to get into the turning lane. The S.U.V. caught on fire.
The Biloxi Fire Department, which was just down the road, responded to put the fire out.
Biloxi Police say one person was dead on the scene, and two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
While authorities have not yet released the name of the man killed, they will say that he was active duty military stationed in South Mississippi.
As of 10:45pm Saturday night, eastbound traffic on Pass Road was blocked at the intersection of Pass Road and Big Lake Road.
