Mardi Gras Parades Begin To Roll

Mardi Gras in South Mississippi has finally arrived.

Kicking off the Mardi Gras festivities, Saturday parades will be rolling in Ocean Springs, Gulfport and Lizana.

The 33rd Annual Ocean Springs Elks Parade will roll through downtown Ocean Springs beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The parade begins on Front Beach and continues through downtown Ocean Springs, then proceeds to Ocean Springs High School where the parade ends.

In Lizana, the 5th Annual Lizana Parade begins at 1:00 p.m.

It starts at Lizana Elementary School and continues to Cable Bridge Road, where the floats will turn onto Moran Road. The parade will finish back at the Elementary School. 

 

Then, at 2:00 p.m., the 12th Annual Orange Grove Krewe of Kids Parade in Gulfport will begin.

The parade will start off at Bel Air Elementary School on Klein Road and finish up at the Winn-Dixie at the intersection of Highway 49 and Dedeaux Road.
