Biloxi Police: Man Arrested After Threatening To Blow Up Bank

In Biloxi Wednesday, police arrested a man after he told a Hancock Bank employee he had a bomb strapped to his body. It happened at the bank on Caillavet Street.

Investigators say 71-year old Charles Griggs of Fort Lauderdale, Florida demanded money from the bank manager, and threatened to detonate the explosives.

Shortly after leaving the bank, Griggs was stopped and arrested in Ocean Springs.

Griggs is charged with one count of simple robbery and of false reporting of placing explosives.
