Louisiana Woman Walks for Peace

A Louisiana woman made her way through the Gulf Coast on a peace walk. Kim Leverton is on her way to Washington, DC, on a mission of peace. She started her walk a week and a half ago from New Orleans. Sunday, she made her way through Jackson County, and found a few friends who walked with her for a couple of miles. Leverton says she wants to find a peaceful way to end or solve the war on terrorism.

"What I hope to accomplish is to hear what people think of an alternative way to respond to it. I don't know what the answer is. I do know there's an answer out there. I do that if we work toward it, we'll find it, said Leverton.

Leverton plans to make it to Washington, DC, sometime in February and give President Bush all the ideas she's collected on a peaceful resolution.
