Allegiant Air Ends Service From Gulfport To Las Vegas

Just five months after beginning nonstop flights from Gulfport to Las Vegas, Allegiant Air  is ending the service. The carrier's last flight from the coast to Las Vegas will be Dec. 10, 2007.

Allegiant Air made the announcement Friday.

"Unfortunately, due to escalating fuel costs, we will end our Las Vegas service from Gulfport-Biloxi," Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president and CEO, said. "We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers."

The carrier will still offer flights from Gulfport to Orlando. Customers who have already booked flights to Las Vegas after Dec. 10th will be contacted by the airline.
