Dan and Kim Brookes bought an old house in downtown Moss Point back in 2004. The couple turned the historic home into Moss Point Oaks Bed and Breakfast.
"It was a dream come true" says Kim Brookes.
The home was built in 1870 and the couple preserved most of the original architectural integrity.
"This is an example of what Moss Point used to be" says Dan Brookes.
The B&B has been awarded eco-certification from a group called Sustainable Travel International. That means Moss Point Oaks goes the extra mile to be environmentally friendly. Dan and Kim recycle water and use energy efficiency to follow what they call their "sustainability policy."
This brand of tourism is a growing trend, and puts this Moss Point business on the cutting edge of the travel industry.
