On Wednesday morning at 9:45am, the Bay St. Louis Police Department received a call from Hollywood Casino about a possible body floating in one of the ponds on the Bridges Golf Course.
Bay St Louis Detectives found a black male lying face down in about a foot and a half of water at the southeast end of the pond located between holes 14 and 15 at the Bridges.
The man was identified as 70 year old Harold Holmes of Gulfport.
Holmes was wearing a blue checkered shirt and blue jeans with house slippers and still had on his eye glasses. Once retrieved from the water, Holmes was pronounced dead by coroner Norma Stiglet.
Two employees of the Bridges Golf Course spoke to the subject between 5:00am and 5:30am near the maintenence shop on Hollywood Drive.
The employees said Holmes asked for a cup of coffee, and they identified the body of Holmes as the man they has spoken earlier that morning.
There is no indication of foul play and the death has been ruled an accident until the autopsy is complete.
