Female Inmate Escapes While Receiving Treatment At Memorial Hospital

A woman with a long list of arrests is missing from Harrison County jail custody.

Warden Don Cabanna confirmed to WLOX News Saturday night that Jennifer Lynn Diaz escaped from custody Saturday while getting medical treatment.

The 23-year-old Gulfport woman was arrested October 9th on possession of drug paraphenalia.

Cabanna says she was taken to Memorial Hospital a few days ago. She was being guarded by private security contracted by the Sheriff''s Department when she left the hospital some time this afternoon.

Cabanna says Diaz is not believed to be dangerous, but anyone with information about her whereabouts should call the Harrison County Sheriff's Department at 228-897-1364.
