Former Rex Manager Admits Staging Robbery

Five men were arrested Thursday in connection with an attempted robbery at Biloxi electronics store in May.

Former manager Norval Parker admitted he staged the robbery in an attempt to steal 11 High Definition televisions, valued around $23,000.

You may recall, that police surrounded Rex Audio, Video & Appliances after Parker called his sister to report that he was being robbed, and that the suspects were locked in the store with him. Police interviewed Parker, and discovered several inconsistencies in his statement.

Parker eventually admitted staging the robbery, and that he had been embezzling from the store.

He along with four other men, Kyle Mallett, Nathan Becker, Bryan Diotte, and Edward Lynch were arrested on various charges. All five men are being held at the Harrison County Jail.
