Three People Arrested For Meth Amphetamines In One Night

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department made a series of drug busts early Tuesday morning, giving further proof they say, that the dangerous drug meth-amphetamine is still very popular.

Deputies arrested three people all on meth charges, within a four-hour time frame.

Michael Hembree, 22, and Aaron Prescott, 42, were arrested around 3 a.m. Deputies found a meth kitchen they say the two were running in the north part of the county. Both men were charged with drug manufacturing and possession.

The Sheriff's department also arrested Cedric Thomas, 35, separately for possession and distribution of meth after a traffic stop near Moss Point.

Sheriff Mike Byrd says the arrests show just how wide spread the meth-amphetamine problem is throughout Jackson county.
