There was a little bit of beach music and a whole of dancing at War Memorial Park, as cruisers made their way to Pass Christian Tuesday night. But this big celebration was about more than chrome and cars, it's about the people.
"I love it. I always have ever since even before Crusin here started. I loved cruisin everywhere else," says Jackie Hammons.
The South Mississippi resident says he looks forward to the annual event, especially now that he can show off his seven-year masterpiece.
"It's been quite a project," Hammons said.
This birthday boy doesn't mind parking the blue beauty to take a little bit of time to enjoy the music. In fact, he says it gives him time to people watch.
"Oh yeah, we're gonna be here until it stops and then we gonna try to find something else to do," Hammons said.
Until then, the car lover says he will enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pass Christian Party, not to mention all the tricked out cars. There were enough Fords and Chevys lining the beach for everyone to enjoy.
Wednesday morning cruisers will head back to Biloxi for a big block party, then on to Pascagoula for a free concert.
