One crucial building material that quickly became in short supply following Hurricane Katrina should be in plentiful supply if another storm hits South Mississippi. A new business is now open in Gulfport that supplies drywall and other building materials to commercial and residential buyers.
Seacoast Supply held a grand opening Thursday for their new 40,000 square foot building supply warehouse. It's the newest of the company's seven locations across the Gulf Coast.
Center Manager Walker Roth says Gulfport is another perfect fit.
"It's a strong growing community and we feel like it's been growing, but it was nothing we were ready to step into. But now we really see the outlook, like I said, for the next 15 to 20 years."
