Aaron Davidson hit a two-run home run to kick off a six-run Florida second inning as the Gators topped Ole Miss 17-to-6 today. The Gators (18-3, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) completed a series sweep over the Rebels (13-6, 0-3) in the season's first conference games for both teams. Mississippi starter Alan Horne (0-1) never really found the strike zone, as the Gators chased him after just one-and-one-third innings. He walked five and gave up four earned runs on just one hit. Florida starter Keith Ramsey (3-0) went six innings, allowing five earned runs on three walks and five hits. He got chased in a four-run Ole Miss seventh inning. Ryan Shealy continued his torrid pace for Florida, going three-for-five with his seventh home run of the year. Shealy picked up three R-B-I and ran his hitting streak to 18 games. Clint Farrar kicked off the four-run Ole Miss seventh with a two-run homer to left. He had three R-B-Is on the day.
