Fatal Collision Claims The Lives Of Two Ocean Springs Women

Two people are dead and one person is injured after a two-car crash in Harrison County. It involved an 18 wheeler dump truck and a small car. The crash happened shortly before 10 o-clock this morning at the intersection of the new Highway 605 and Three Rivers Road.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the dump truck was headed south on 605 when a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse headed west on Three Rivers Road attempted to cross the intersection.

The truck, driven by 51-year-old Thomas Fenton of Perkinston, hit the car on the passenger side, pushing it about 100 yards before the truck rolled over into a ditch.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says the driver of the car, 36-year-old Heather Seymour and her passenger, 22-year-old Stephanie Koll died at the scene.

Both women were from Ocean Springs and both were wearing their seat belts.

Fenton was transported to Memorial Hospital in Gulfport with non-life threatening injuries.
