Search Goes On In Gulf

Seven Coast Guard rescue units continue to search for four missing members of a south Alabama family. Yesterday, Coast Guard searchers found the body of 19-year-old Sabrina Crumm, one of the five family members. She was found wearing a personal flotation device about five miles south of Horn Island in the Mississippi Sound near the Alabama-Mississippi border. A Coast Guard spokesman in New Orleans said today's search is concentrated in a 225 square mile area, south and west of the island in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Crumm family of Foley has been missing since Saturday when they left on a shark fishing trip. They were reported overdue Sunday night. Rescue crews also found large amounts of debris from the 32-foot converted shrimping boat in which the family departed Bon Secour marina. The search began Sunday night in waters off of Alabama, Louisiana and Florida that covered more than five-thousand square miles.

The missing have been identified as 45-year-old Rodney Crumm, his 32-year-old wife Beverly, her brother, 30-year-old James Taylor and their 12-year-old stepdaughter Christina.
