Grant Will Help Residents Dispose Of Old Tires

Harrison County has received a grant to help residents get rid of old tires.

The Department of Environmental Quality awarded the $30,000 grant. It will help fund the recycling of old tires that are picked up during "Household Hazardous Waste Collection" days.

Collection days are the second Saturday of each month. The next date is September 8th from 8am-Noon.

Household waste and old tires will be collected at the Harrison County Road Department Building at 1076 Lorraine Road. There's a limit of ten tires per household.
