Partial Meth Lab Discovered In Trunk Of Car

Police made a potentially dangerous discovery Sunday in the parking lot of a Biloxi bar. Officers arrested an Alabama man for public drunkenness around 10 a.m. Sunday on Caillavet Street.

When they searched his car, police say they discovered a partially operating meth lab in the trunk. The biggest concern was about the anhydrous ammonia inside. If it's inhaled, it can make you very sick.

Police called the DEA to clean up the hazardous materials.

Officers arrested Tony Young, 36, of Loxlee, Alabama. He's been charged with public drunkenness, possession of methamphetamine and possession of chemicals with intent to unlawfully manufacture a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $75,125.

Another man inside the car was also arrested. Dustin Smith, 20, of Chickasaw, Alabama was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $500.
