It's quite an accomplishment to take an idea, write a script, round up a group of volunteers and make a movie. That's exactly what South Mississippi's Richard Collins did.
Collins has just released a film titled The Diary Killings. Collins had almost no budget and used friends as unpaid actors. The next step is to get the project into independent film festivals.
Collins says officials from the Fright Night Film and Fantasy Fest have contacted him. The movie does feature some profanity and plenty of graphic violence.
