Vancleave Couple Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide

Jackson County investigators are still searching for answers to an apparent murder-suicide.

The investigation began at 5:45 Tuesday morning. A call came in to Biloxi Police, that a body was discovered at the IP casino parking garage.

Investigators say the man parked his truck, then jumped off the top floor of the garage. His body landed on the west side.

Coroner Gary Hargrove identified the man, as 32-year old Manuel Sandoval.

After talking to a friend of Sandoval, Hargrove says he had reason to believe, something may have happened to Sandoval's wife. Hargrove notified Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies.

When they arrived at the couple's home in Vancleave, they found the body of 24-year old Samantha Thomason.

"We were called by the coroner's office in Harrison County, to go up to Southern Pine in Vancleave to check on the status of a woman. Our officers went up there and found the lady stabbed to death in her home," said Ricky Jones with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

An autopsy on Samuel Sandoval's body showed, that he died from blunt force trauma from a fall. The coroner in Jackson County, says Samantha Thomason died from two stab wounds to the upper body.
