This fall the second ever gridiron battle between public and private schools won't be happening in Lucedale. This week George County Head Coach Al Jones said Jackson Prep did not want to play the Rebels this fall. Last fall George County and Jackson Prep made history as Public and private schools met on the football field for the first time ever. That game was played in Jackson, and won by George County. They had a contract for that one, and a gentlemen's agreement to play this fall in Lucedale. However Prep has scheduled another team to play in it's opener instead of the Rebels.
