Mobile Man's Body Found In The Pascagoula River

The body of a Mobile man was found Tuesday in the Pascagoula River.

Police say William Henry Cavette, 78, was spotted by a man walking his dog around 10am. The person called 911, and within minutes, emergency crews arrived on the scene and began searching the river.

Officers found Cavette floating near the east bank of the river. They aren't sure how long he had been in the water.

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus said there was no foul play suspected in the death. Police believe a car parked in the area along the river belonged to the victim.
